University of Tennessee

One of three universities located on a river, the University of Tennessee is located in East Tennessee in the Smoky Mountains on the banks of the Tennessee River. We are close to Smoky Mountain National Park and Oak Ridge National Laboratory, the nation’s largest and most diverse science and energy laboratory. Our Tickle College of Engineering is home to 12 top-ranked engineering majors including nuclear engineering, materials science & engineering, and biomedical engineering. The university also offers majors in business, education, agriculture, arts and sciences, social work, communication, education, and health sciences, including a direct-entry nursing program. Students can enjoy a wide variety of student organizations and Division 1 Southeastern Conference athletics.
