As a student, your classroom education is important but it is vital for you to maintain your physical and mental health.  Here are a few resources and ideas:

 

  • Visit your doctor annually for checkups.  

 

  • Eat healthy.

 

  • Exercise - Play a sport at school or with a local club program.  See our information on student athletics and extracurriculars. Exercise can happen outside of an organized forum.  Make it fun - walk the dog, dance, bike, or hike to name a few activities.  Remember to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors in Colorado!   

 

  • Sleep - Maintain a healthy sleep routine.

 

  • Meet with a counselor - Meet with your school counselor if you have any concerns you would like to discuss.  Every child in Colorado is also entitled to three free mental health sessions through the State’s I Matter Program - visit https://imattercolorado.org/.
