Ashcroft Ghost Town with optional Hike (registration required)

Take a bus ride with us from Aspen (departure from Gondola Plaza in Aspen at 1:30 p.m.) to the beautiful Ashcroft Valley. First stop is the Ashcroft Ghost Town located eleven miles up Castle Creek Road, the silver mining ghost town features the restored remains of several historical buildings, including a saloon, post office, and hotel nestled among spectacular alpine meadows at the headwaters of Castle Creek. You can wander around the Ghost Town for a bit or join us on a short hike along the Castle Creek Valley's stunning River Run Trail.  Approximately 3 miles of moderate high altitude hiking (round trip).  Sneakers are adequate. We will arrive back to Gondola Plaza in Aspen at approximately 4:30 p.m.
