Part-Time Director of Colleges 


Brief Description: Direct outreach to colleges for programming, including several seminars for Western Slope high school students, families, and counselors, and the Colorado Western Slope College Fair. 


Description of College Outreach:  Educational nonprofit dedicated to creating college awareness and connecting rural students with college.    


Location:  Aspen, Colorado/Remote possible



  • Maintain and build collaborative relationships with colleges and universities and others in the higher education community. 

  • Educate colleges on the unique lifestyle, including challenges for rural students living in the Western Slope of Colorado. 

  • Invite colleges to events hosted by College Outreach, including the Colorado Western Slope College Fair.

  • Coordinate with college panelists at seminars and workshops hosted by College Outreach. 

  • Collaborate with colleges and universities in communication with other Western Slope high schools.  

  • Write coherent, organized, and compelling communications.

  • Advocate for and support the mission and objectives of College Outreach.



  • Minimum three years experience as a college or university undergraduate admissions officer, including recruitment and application review.

  • Bachelor’s degree. 

  • A passionate person with a love for education.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with all stakeholders.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage resources across multiple projects.

  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically.

  • Comfortable working with a team, as well as independently.

  • Forward thinker who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions. 

Job Type: Part-time, two-month contract flexible dates June to August. 


Pay: $20,000 on contract basis.
